Success Story: Platform to Monitor Nitrogen Dioxide levels in Asia and MENA

Introduction: The World Bank is an international financial institution that provides loans and grants to the governments of low- and middle-income countries for the purpose of pursuing capital projects.

The Challenge: World Bank and Space4Good wanted to build a platform to monitor and show Nitrogen Dioxide levels spread over months from 2019 to 2021.

Our Solution: We engineered the full pipeline of procuring, processing and publishing the information from Sentinel 5P satellite to a dashboard. We converted gigabytes of data to Kilobytes of information. The portal we made for WorldBank is robust, secure and fast.

Impact: The economists of the World Bank use the Nitrogen Dioxide Monitoring Platform to make decisions based on the visualization, graphs. They can also download reports which are essential for policy making.
